CALL TO ORDER:

Chair Karman Wilson called the meeting to order at 7:40 A.M.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Dannielle Larkin motions to approve the minutes, seconded by Glenn Webb. Unanimous.

 

DISCUSSION OF CONSIDERATION AND REOMMENDATION OF DISTRBUTION AMOUNT FOR RAP TAX GRANT APPLICANTS:

Links to discussion of consideration and recommendation of distribution amount for RAP Tax Grant applicants 

Discussion regarding explanation of spreadsheet detailing amounts to be recommended to each organization compared to last year, as well as project grants and how those funds will be allocated. Many scored the project grants fairly high: [ 00:00:00 ]

Discussion of going down line by line to each organization to analyze the recommended amounts: [ 00:07:15 ]

Discussion of how they want to differentiate project grants and normal operating budget grants. Many agree having project grants help organzations fund new projects out of their normal operating budget: [ 00:09:15 ]

Discussion of going with Dixie Watercolor’s recommendation, as well as other organizations: [ 00:15:55 ]

Discussion of funding organizations who are larger than other organizations receiving less and giving back to others, as well as continuing down the list of orgnzations recommended amounts: [ 00:20:25 ]

Discussion regarding Encore and whether their project grant should be lowered by $2,000 and given to others, considering they also have a high operating budget grant, as well as the questions asked on the grant application: [ 00:40:15 ]

Discussion regarding what happens to project grant money when an organization cannot complete and how to redistribute it: [ 01:12:20 ]

Motions:

John Kessler motions to give $2,000 to Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum Inc, Dannielle Larkin seconds this.

Glenn motions to give $1,000 to The Stage Door, Dannielle Larkin seconds.

Sherlynn Davis motions to take another $1,000 from Encore.

Dannielle Larkin motions to take $1,000 from St. George Children’s Museum and give it to Lieto, John Kessler seconds.

Danielle Larkin motions to approve recommended amounts, Robert Schmidt seconds.
