Lynda Holman

Linda Holman PhotoMy silk art is an outgrowth of my passion for photography of nature and wild places. I grew up with parents that encouraged me to be creative. I never had a coloring book”, I had “scrapbooks” with blank pages. I was gifted a “good camera” as a teenager, and continued to photography everything! As a teacher, I taught first grade minority students who had little opportunity to travel or create art at home. I took classes and purchased materials so art could become a beginning for reading with second language parents. After 47 years in public education, I was able to continue photography as well as explore other art opportunities. Water marbling grew out of my interesting in printing and stenciling. My scarves are inspired by the color and dance of light and shadow in my photographs. My art is designed to inspire joy and wonder and adventure.
