Alarm Permits

City of St. George has adopted a new alarm systems ordinance concerning the regulation of alarm systems and police response to false alarms within the City. A 3rd party (PM AM Corporation) will be administering the notifications, billing (including on-line payment), collections, registration applications and processing for residential and commercial alarm systems, as well as the collection of fines and fees related to false alarms.

If you own an alarm system at your home or business, per City Ordinance 3-5-2,  you must possess a valid alarm permit. For your convenience, the Administration Office at the SGPD accepts check, cash or credit card payments by mail or phone.. The cost for an alarm permit is $50.00.

Sex Offender & Kidnap Offender Registry

The Utah Department of Corrections manages the state's Sex Offender & Kidnap Offender Registry. The Department processes thousands of registrations each year and makes information about offenders available through a public database.

However, the Department is not in charge of actively registering offenders nor monitoring an offender's compliance once he or she is registered unless the offender is being actively supervised by Adult Probation and Parole. Ensuring an offender is registered and monitoring compliance is the responsibility of local law enforcement agencies.

The St. George Police Department registers and monitors offenders living or visiting St. George, who are not actively supervised by AP&P or on Parole.
